American Mining and Tunneling LLC Earns First Place Nevada Mining Association’s 2014 Safety Award
Elko, Nevada, USA – American Mining and Tunneling LLC (“American” or the “Company”) announces that it has earned the distinguished NVMA 2014 first place contractors safety award by completing the 2013 year without any MSHA reportable or lost time injuries. The NVMA Safety Awards honor operators and contractors that are dedicated to a culture of safety and have demonstrated best operational safety practices on the mine site.

This accomplishment spans all divisions within the American mining group including the Alimak Mining Installation, Contract Mining, Underground Construction, Mine Development and Temporary Labor divisions.

AMT ADDS NEW DIRECTOR OF SAFETY AND HEALTH.
American Mining and Tunneling (AMT) is excited to welcome Mark Carlson to the AMT team as the Director of Safety and Health. For 25 years, Mr. Carlson has been working in the mining industry, including serving as an MSHA Mine Inspector, and has over 17 years of experience working in multiple management roles. Prior to joining the American team, Mr. Carlson served as the Manager of Safety for Nevada Operations at Great Basin Gold.
